October 6 1820. Vittorio Emanuele I, King of Sardinia promulgates a law to resolve disputes between peasants and farmers, called Edict of closing. With this edict is being increased by the use of common lands for private use, that is, the law allows farmers to close with walls of arable land, so that the cattle grazing is not allowed to invade the crops, causing damage to their work.
Unfortunately, as always, made the law find the loophole. The sharpers and wealthy landowners who had the means and men available, rushed to close their real or presumed ground, grabbing the best land as fertility, beauty and presence of source or location.
Tomorrow, October 5 2008, other sharpers seek to annul the law saves (quelcherimane) coast, raising new concrete walls.
History repeats itself, and come back into vogue verses Murenu Melchiorre, nineteenth-century artist who seems to have been murdered by those who could not stand of being pilloried by his rhymes.
